If you are looking for a place to escape for a quick weekend getaway, there is no better choice than the Smoky Mountains! Here you will find a ton of exciting attractions for the entire family, plus some delicious restaurants and wonderful shopping opportunities! Now the only thing you have left to do is decide what to do while you are in town. Here is a fun weekend itinerary for a trip to the Smoky Mountains:
Day 1: Snow Tubing at Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark
No matter what time of year you are planning your weekend trip, you can always have fun in the snow when you visit our Pigeon Forge theme park! We have the largest outdoor snow tubing hill in Tennessee, which features lanes that are over 500 feet in length that also have a heart-dropping 70-foot drop in the middle! You also don’t have to worry about lugging your tube back to the top of the hill as our magic carpet conveyors take care of the hard work for you. After your snow tubing session, be sure to check out the other exciting activities at our theme park, including the Avalanche Snow Coaster, the Ski Lift Shootout Coaster, and axe throwing. If you are looking for a delicious place to have dinner after your day at Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark, be sure to head next door to try out Local Goat, one of the most popular restaurants in Pigeon Forge.
Day 2: A Day at SkyLand Ranch in Sevierville
Luckily, there are two days in the weekend because we have another exciting theme park located just a little way down the Parkway in Sevierville that you don’t want to miss. SkyLand Ranch combines all your favorite things about a trip to the Smoky Mountains, including beautiful mountain views, exciting attractions, delicious food, and so much more! During your day at the ranch, your family can take part in all sorts of exciting activities. First, be sure to take a ride on the Wild Stallion, which is the longest mountain coaster in the Southeast. Afterward, take the Horizon Skyride to the top of the mountain where you will find all sorts of fun, including our miniature animals, live entertainment, and so much more! If you get hungry, be sure to head inside the food barn or pick up food from one of the delicious food trucks. You can find everything from burgers and BBQ to ice cream and sweet treats for everyone.
Don’t Forget the Souvenirs!
Both of our thrilling amusement parks in the Smokies feature wonderful retail shops where you can purchase souvenirs for yourself and all your friends and family back home. At Rowdy Bear’s Smoky Mountain Snowpark, we sell apparel such as T-shirts and hoodies, plus the most adorable stuffed animals in the Smokies. While you explore SkyLand Ranch, be sure to check out Williford Mercantile, which has the perfect shop for all ages. It features a lovely boutique, a western store, a toy shop, a Christmas store, and a place to buy officially licensed SkyLand Ranch apparel and accessories. Between our two amusement parks, you can have two days filled with fun and have some mementos and memories to take back home!
