Do you want to plan a fun trip to the Smoky Mountains for your family but are unsure how to make the most of your time and money? Whether it’s a short weekend getaway or a longer vacation, sticking to a budget is not only possible but also easy to do! Here are a few tips for an affordable Pigeon Forge family vacation:

1. Choose a couple of high-priority attractions.

Look for attractions close to one another so you’re not having to spend too much time in the car or are within walking distance of where you’re staying. The great thing about our Pigeon Forge attraction is that we’re conveniently located on the Parkway minutes from great restaurants, parks, and shopping! You can spend the morning flying down our outdoor tubing hill, zipping around mountain curves on our coaster, and trying your hand at axe throwing– keeping you and the kids entertained for hours! Then in the afternoon, head over to Skyland Ranch for even more outdoor fun. It’s a short drive away, and once at the top of the mountain, you can experience the Wild Stallion, incredible views of Pigeon Forge, unique shops, and delicious food all in one place!

2. Have a picnic lunch.

Another fun and affordable thing to do on your Pigeon Forge family vacation is to eat a picnic lunch! Both Patriot Park and Wear Farm City Park have plenty of grassy space, picnic tables, and play areas for you to enjoy a break from all of the activities. You can take your time simply being in nature while you eat a snack or lunch; plus, it gives the kids a chance to burn off excess energy before the next thing on your vacation itinerary.

3. Use public transportation.

Another perk of our Adventure Park is that we offer free parking to our guests, so you don’t have to worry about paying to park. But getting around is even easier when you take the Pigeon Forge trolley. It has several routes, most of which leave from Patriot Park and go to Dollywood or along the Parkway. There’s even a route that takes you all the way to Gatlinburg!

4. Take advantage of our unlimited ride wristband.

We’re proud to be an affordable attraction in Pigeon Forge for families on a budget and offer an unlimited ride wristband for either 1 or 2 hours. That wristband allows you to experience the Ski Lift Shootout, Avalanche Snow Coaster, and Outdoor Axe Throwing as many times as you want! The only thing not included in the unlimited wristband is the tubing hill. But you won’t want to miss you on the longest outdoor tubing hill in Tennessee. Link up to 3 intertubes or go down by yourself for a thrilling experience!
